What is the Izutsumi Advocacy Fund?
The Izutsumi Advocacy Fund donates to artists who produce artwork of the Delicious in Dungeon character Izutsumi (イヅツミ). We try to further stimulate the creation of new Izutsumi artwork.
Why is the Izutsumi Advocacy Fund?
Izutsumi is a character whose memory must be carried into the future. To this end, we have established a fund to make sure the character produces a greater cultural impact.
How does the Izutsumi Advocacy Fund choose artists?
We prefer artists who produce artwork of Izutsumi that isn't sensitive in nature (e.g., pornographic, violent, or controversial), and who exclusively make use of manual creative tooling (e.g., ink, pastels, paint) over automated creative tooling (e.g., avatar generators à la PicCrew, generative artificial intelligence).
The Izutsumi Advocacy Fund does not otherwise have a stringent process for evaluating artists, even though we may pass over some entirely at our discretion. Having been already donated to by the IAF does not further reduce your chances of another donation, except if we have just donated to you.
How are donations made?
The Izutsumi Advocacy Fund may ask artists if they would be willing to receive a donation from the fund for having drawn Izutsumi. If they agree, the donation will be made.
Sometimes, the Izutsumi Advocacy Fund may fund a commission to spread the word about the existence of the IAF. The process for selecting an artist is the same as the one we use for traditional donations.
We donate a random amount every time. It ranges from 10$ USD to 100$ USD. The quality of the artwork does not impact the amount of the donation.
What are the donations methods employed?
We preferably donate with Ko-fi or PayPal. If we tell you our interest in donating, but you accept neither method, we will try to find an option available to you.
Who will contact me if I receive a donation?
Our handle is @IzutsumiIAF on X, and @izutsumiadvocacyfund on Ko-fi. If we open more accounts, we will list them on this page. You will only be contacted from these accounts, and no other one.
How can I increase my chances of receiving a donation?
Draw Izutsumi! There is no way to formally "submit" artwork for evaluation. We do not have tags on popular social networks that we specifically look at. Draw Izutsumi with the critera specified above and you will have a chance.
Of course, having your messages open will be a big help, since otherwise we won't be able to contact you.
Who has the IAF donated to?
We include a headcount of our donations here, alongside the handles of any artists who have agreed to be listed on the page after we have donated to them. We will not list artists who have not agreed to be listed.
